SM 1.2.11 on RH7.3, with Apache 1.3.27, PHP 4.1.2, sendmail 8.12.5,

I've set up SM on a number of boxes before, with no problems. On this
machine (all services are running locally on this box), receiving,

I just fixed this on my system. Drove me nuts! ;) Personally, I think the
info was a bit tough to find on the SM website, it is a bit different to
navigate if you are not familiar with "wikis". So, before someone says

server has the necessary permissions to wri

installed mysql in the firsplace the answer is from RPM. Apache and php are
selfcompiled from source - both with mysql enablation on...
