Ok, I'll try another approach on the
compose-send problem. Where is smtp set
in squirrelmail? I am still looking for
solution on sending mail out from
squirrelmail.

Hi!
I am extremely new to cyrus and I
have the following technology stack. I'm using Sendmail as an MTA and
Cyrus as the POP/IMAP server. From the Pop side my messages come in
perfectly. I imagine this is being done by copying to /home/$USERNAME/mbox

Hi,
I have this pressing problem that I can't seem to figure out. Some of our
users are complaining that whenever they send email out, the email goes
into the 'sent' folder but the mail didn't reach its intended recipient. I
looked in the FAQ's and someone mentioned about turning on the

It may be possible that 1.2.10[cvs] (soon to be released as 1.2.10)
should fix this. I bel
Hi there,
I found a mbox under my home directory, but it was old. I pointed
squirrelmail at it and it sees the contents fine. Only problem is, its an
old file. Also, now it seems that all of my mail has either been deleted or
read and I can't get to it from my other mail client.
thanks,

When you say not
In order to have a folder that can contain sub-folders I
have to currently ssh into the machine and 'mkdir
foldername'. Is this because of UW's mail dir layout or
because its not a feature that has been added to SM?

Squirrelmail is a IMAP mail client. You need to install and configure an
IMAP mail server. My personal favorite is Courier-IMAP.
IMAP typically uses the Maildir format. Unless you specially configure it
to use whatever mail storage format you are useing now, you will need to

All,
I've been a squirrelMail user for years now... Love it - great stuff.
I've recently upgraded from 1.2.7 to 1.2.9 and I'm now getting many PHP

Here they are - any ideas? My 1.2.7 install still works fine... So I
would assume Apache and the PHP install are fine...

Ok, got that part working great. Now, the last part I need to do is to
make it look like the rest of my site. In swish.cgi I have this line:

Hey guys, I noticed strange behavior from SM 1.2.9.
We have a few virtual mail servers handling mail for a bunch of
different domains. To allow customer access, we created a proxy that
does an nslookup and redirects the request to a specific server.
So a customer goes to a central page, inserts

Currently this isn't possible because it doesn't use regular expressions
to match the words / names you want to hilight, or if it does, it
doesn't accept user-created regexen.
I just checked, in
