We didn't continue further in that. We have moved to Elasticsearch.
Elasticsearch suits best for our case than Solr.

No errors in zookeeper and solr. I m using CloudSolrServer for creating
collections as said above.I just want to set loadOnStartup to false for
cores in solr.xml. I dont want all cores to loadonstartup. Hence when

I am experimenting with solr 4.4.0 split shard feature. When i split the
shard i am getting the following exception.

No exceptions. And leaderVoteWait value will be used only during startup rite
? A new leader will be elected once the leader node is down. Am i right ?
