I'm now considering if Solr (Lucene) is a good choice when we have a

Maybe I'm wrong, but my feeling is that the way the sort caches are

You should use facet.query which gives the number of documents matching the
query. For example:
facet.query=rating:[0 TO 0.99]&facet.query=rating:[1 TO 1.99] etc.

Hello,
I would like to create a custom facet for a 'rating_facets'.
The rates are like that : 1, 1.2, 5, 5.78 etc.
Is it possible to tell solr to create a 'custom' facet :
[0 to 0.99] is 0
[ 1 to 1.99] is 1
etc. (and get them back into xml results with number of results by value)
Or I have to s
Looks like you have a double encoding problem.
It might be because you fetch UTF-8 binary data from mysql (I know
that for instance the perl driver has an issue with that) and you then
encode it a second time in UTF-8 when you post to solr.
Make sure the string you're getting from mysql are actua

Hi,
On using Facet in solr query I am facing various issues.

Wow, I really should read more closely before I respond - I see now, Noble,
that you were talking about DIH's ability to parse escaped '<'s in attribute
values, rather than about whether '<' was an acceptable character in attribute
values.
I should repurpose my remarks to note to Shalin, though
