umber trades off
precision for index size. It can make a big difference.

Hi,
we are testing Solr and index a huge amount of files. We integrated a
Spatial4j field which is only used to index rectangulars so we removed
the JTS dependency. However we had some problems with this. At first
Solr seems to get a GC OutOfMemory error which seems to be fixed with
more
ut that much thought into handling
lines -- I just do points & polygons & circles & rects.

Hi!
Sorry for the belated response; my google alerts didn't kick in for some
weird reason until you posted to the lucene dev list.

and can answer this question
we are using this spatial tool for doing searches. overall, it seems to
work very well. however, finding documentation is difficult.
I have a couple of questions:
1. I have a geohash
for you to get going by 1 June.

Yes, I definitely think so. At a minimum, I expect there will at least be a
patch or built jar file for you to get going by 1 June.

Hello Solr Community,
We are interested in polygon spatial queries.
I believe that Spatial4j supports it.
Is there a solr branch available that includes Spatial4j?
Will this be part of a furure solr release?
Thank you.

This will involve a few steps before it is actually integrated with
the lucene project -- and then a few more to be usable from solr

I attempted to build the spatial4j demo but no luck. It had problems
finding lucene 4.0-SNAPSHOT, which I guess is because there are
