Well, what does seem to happen?
Which version of Solr is it? Can Dovecot contact Solr? If you put
netcat listen instead of Solr on that port, it is being connected to?
If it is, is Solr complaining about wrong url or anything in the log?
Exceptions maybe.
How far into the Dovecot->Solr path did
