Specifically to the file size support, all the file systems on current releases of linux (and unixes too) support large files with 64 bit offsets, and I am pretty sure that java VM supports 64 bit offsets in files, so there is no 2GB file size limit anymore. François On Apr 15, 2011, at 4:31 P
