Here are my steps:
1) Download apache-solr-4.0.0-BETA
2) Untar into a directory
3) cp -r example example2
4) cp -r example exampleB
5) cp -r example example2B
6) cd example; java -Dbootstrap_confdir=./solr/collection1/conf
-Dcollection.configName=myconf -DzkRun
