You could turn on logging of the actual sql statements that slurmdbd
sends to mysql by adding to the DebugFlags in slurmdbd.conf (see
slurmdbd.conf(5)).

OS (and possibly the MySQL/MariaDB) at the same time? I assume you're
testing the Slurm upgrade on a test server and not the production cluster?
