I think you can accomplish this by setting Partition QoS and defining it
to hook into the same QoS for all there. I believe that would force it
to share the same pool.
That said I don't know if that would work properly, its worth a test.
That is my first guess though.

I recommend stopping slurmdbd on any nodes running it before the update.
This prevents any issues with a shared database and schema updates.
You may see some messages in your slurmctld log that the nodes are
running a different version until they are al
