I have this version working well for a long time now:
$ screen --version
Screen version 3.09.10 (FAU) 4-Sep-01
Downloaded it a while back, eventually a .screenrc that did what I want.
Been using for 18+months (perhaps 3 years actually).

While we're on the subject of feature requests, I would love to see an
official cygwin version of screen. I'm stuck using windows at work,
and I really miss screen.
