same issues -- except that I usually have a
free console around that svgalib can go to. The thing is
that screen does not use a hardware console.
Others can give more detail, I'm sure.

The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways.
The point, however, is to change it.

I think the context was clear: simply to have a zombie exit
to a shell. Obviously, going into detail here was a
distraction.
o a
shell commandline when you decide to manually exit them, now
and then..? i.e. not necessarily run the same program again,
or with the same input data file -- but you want that screen
to stay right there?

Could you write a book about that please? Or at least a

Thanx for reminding me to check a long-standing issue, based
on this information. Overcame that little block (it's 98%
the dokumentation, AFAIC).
Not much need for Zmodem these days, but there're some.

An ioctl() error is also what I got before I set mplayer
setuid. What ioctl(VT_WAITACTIVE) means here I do not know.

A lot of programs seem to have issues with the pts/*
terminals (/dev/pts/* ?) used by screen. One such would be
svgalib. Unfortunately, I've never really figured this
terminal screen stuff out.
Pointers?

Maybe you also know how to do this so that, if the luser
quits one of these, that window will stay open with a shell
prompt..?
That one I haven't figgered yet...
