It appears that "ctrl-a :resize -h ..." is not officially documented
anywhere, for dealing with vertically split regions. I found the info
on one of the user exchange websites. Could we get the manpage and
generated online docs updated?

Actually, I think it's mostly used by people running FreeBSD, possibl
is confusing.
Usually all my screens hold are Bash and Vim. Sometimes Emacs.
What key do you suggest, and how do I select it using "screen -e"? I was
thinking maybe F2 would be good.

Hello,
I'm not sure if I found a bug or a misconfiguration in GNU screen.
When I run 2 instances of screen (one inside the other) and I issue
backspace (^H) it removes the entire line, not a single character.

Hi Miernik,
Are you still interested in implementing this? Perhaps I can help you a bit.

Ah, I see now. The application mode one works for me. I guess I was
unclear as to what exactly application mode meant. Thank you very

But how can I send the arrow keys?
screen -S sessionname -X eval 'stuff "\033[A"'
Doesn't appear to do the job.
Thanks,
