Buildroot or Freetz for clues on how to proceed. There you might find
patches which you could use or adapt to your needs in order to get it
working for your purpose.

I am trying to cross-compile screen on SUSE Linux on i386 to a powerpc.
However the configure script has many dependancies on the tests to work on
the platform being compiled.
Are there plans to fix this in the next release of screen so it can be cross
compiled on any platform and not perform the
