I am also a Fedora user and I never had problems with the packages
available on http://katrine.lpi.ru/kalenkov/
After downloading, move to the destination directory and then :
# yum -y install scid-4.4-1.fc18.i686.rpm scid-books-4.4-1.fc18.noarch.rpm
scid-sounds-4.4-1.fc18.noarch.rpm

Greetings,
I am new to the list. I am coming out of retirement, as I have not played
chess in about 10 years. My chessbase and related software is out of date,
so I thought I would try this. I use Linux for work, but I don't install
stuff on my workstation much.
I am running Fedora 18.
