Hi,
I ported Robbolito on Pocket PC and it is a real killer : all other
engines are under the water against it.
Note that I had some trouble converting x86 ASM code to decent C, but I
think the performance is clearly here (just try a tournament between
Robbolito, Toga and Glaurung to get what

Hello, this is my first post in this mailing list, and I want to thank
you for your continued efforts to make scid even better.
Since Scid has reached version 4, Scid Pocket is not able to read the
bases. Do you plan to add support for the new format to Scid Pocket?
Best regards,
Hi,
I am planning to buy a Samsung Omnia 8GB, WinMobile 6.1

I recently bought an HTC Touch that had WM 6.0 on it. HTC and Alltel
released an upgrade to WM6.1 and I installed it.
I was using SCID Pocket just fine before the upgrade, but now I get an

I've read the previous post about WM 6.1 and I am able to run the tcl

Hi,
I released a new version of Scid Pocket :
- less memory requirements
- Tk 8.5 widgets are now used, with various themes.
The use of Tk 8.5 makes Scid's UI look somewhat better, and I hope that this
can be used for Scid PC ASAP (but I will have to wait at least 6 months I
guess).

But that will, as far as I understand it, install scid 3.6.1
from the debian repositories, not hte version extended by
Pascal.
It probably needs OS2008. If you have all the repositories, it just shows up on
the Installable Programs list in Application Manager.

a laptop can do. When I'm not looking at Alekhine's best games on it, I take it

reliable than the code I wrote to make UCI engines behave like that).
Note that Phalanx always looses (or draws) against the
Hi,
I released a new version of Scid Pocket with Glaurung engine added.
It is possible to make a tournament between Glaurung and Toga, and even
if the nodes per second calculated by Glaurung are lower, it seems to be
a better engine than Toga.

The answer was obvious : all Pocket PC site mention that only
smartphones and newest Pocket PC handles compressed CAB.
So next releases will be uncompressed CAB files.
