so I just got a new Linux computer and wanted to move my SCID installation
over to the new system.
The install is completely different now. A bunch of flatpak stuff, which,
after I got done installing everything it wanted to me install,
and rebooting the machine twice, I get this when I try to bu

This is the development version of Scid (Shane's Chess Information Database)
With this version you can try the new features and help Scid
Seems that there is a precedent to that practice:

There are already a lot of differences between the code in the git repository
and the 4.4 version (the new gamelist window, the engine tournament from
scidvspc, FICS premove, undo/redo, a lot of fixes).The code is already usable
but need testing to became stable.
So, if there are no objections,
I took the liberty to add my old tutorial, which I just found back:
