It would probably come in handy if one could also add square and arrow
marks within the masks by the same procedure as in comments (ie. [%...]
tags within the text.)

Could it be that Scid does not ask to save a Mask if just Scid closes
down? It asks for saving the mask if another one is loaded, but it would
be nice if it reminds me to save the mask in case of closing the app as
well. Probably, "autosave mask" would be worth to consider.

Hi!
Just came across it: If a mask was changed and Scid closes down it does
not ask the user to first save this mask. Unfortunately, I do not know
how to hook this in and where.
BTW: I've added the missing ? NAG for the masks NAG menu (cvs)

Moving my old stuff to the new structure, I created two
separate preliminary mask files, one for white and one for
black.
Now I found that it would come in handy, if Scid could load
the proper mask automatically. I can imagine something like
the rotation of the board. By defining player names
