Hi Fulvio, The mystery of missing button is solved. I was using Toga as analysis engine and with Toga, there was no Annotation button. Then I tried Crafty as the analysis engine and The Annotation button appeared. But I am still fighting with the "Books not found" problem. Thanks. -

Hi Ben, I followed your steps but the Books problem still persists. I am using SCID for a year now and always on Ubuntu. The ANNOTATION button was never there in any of the versions I have installed so far on Ubuntu. I was having SCID 4.3 today. When I noticed that ANNOTATION button is not there

Hello Sanjib, The .bin that you're mentioning are the binary books you wish to use, right? In that case, the message error usually means that you need to 1. go to Options/Books directory; 2. select the directory where you have your engines books. 3. save your Options. If that does not suffice,
