Hi, would anyone tell me the minimum specs that would be necessary on a laptop or desktop to perform overnight analysis? I'm curious as to what is needed,or what is commonly used amongst more knowledgeable people,to perform the level of analysis of games that i've read about in chess literatu

Hi, i've just installed Stockfish engine in SCID,on a macbook pro latop 2gb RAM ,250gb. I was wondering why the fans on the laptop keep coming on so quickly when i begin to use the Stockfish engine for analysis? Is that normal? I ask because they don't usually come on unless the laptop
