[Scid-users] CLI to convert V3 to V4 databases?

I have a lot of databases from a time when lesser machines could only wield a few thousand games at a time. Is there a way to mass convert all my ScidV3 databases into V4? Or a way to do it on the command-line? Thanks, -jason --

I just DLed and installed scid-3.6.20. When opening crafty engine I get an error that crafty has terminated: "The analysis engine terminated without warning; it probably crashed or had an internal error." Is there an error log where I can get a better description? Crafty works just fine from

Anyone out there willing to create Debian packages for Scid? The one in Lenny and Etch are the old Shane versions. Would be nice to get something into Sid. Or at least available on the website. Sure wish someone would take control of scid.sf.net. Would make this stuff so much easier. -j -

My primary use of Scid is to analyse my opening play. I have a very large database (3mil?) based on a converted ChessBase Mega + TWIC. I'm sure a lot of you have a similar setup. I usually open Mega, then open the Tree view. Hit the lock toggle. Then I go over to my game. I look at the win

[Scid-users] revisiting the issue of abandoned Scid

Perhaps it is once again time to revisit the issue of the great Scid fork, and taking over this abandoned project. Since Feb 2007 nothing has transpired on the Scid project. No new releases. No code committed. No return of our beloved Shane. Where once there was one, now there are two forks
