recommendations, mostly in previous conversations in this list. I could
not find a previous reference to what I believe is a satisfactory
workaround:

The mailing list works- I received an email. But now, the question
remains whether it is read by the developers, contributors, and/or
very advanced users. I think most people will find their answers by
googling specific problems to scid. I was able to find very helpful
