Whenever I try to strip comments of variations out of a game I get a pop
up with the message "Error:Unable to strip this game".
Is there a workaround for this?
Thanks

I was able to get serious game to work as well. It is interesting especially to
play against a club player (prodeo simulating club player).
The write permissions are needed, because prodeo writes to a debug.txt in the
same folder. There should be a way to disable this (did not check yet).

Does this also mean that if a move has a 0 weight and if you do an export book
to pgn, it will not export moves with a weight of 0?

You can edit a Polyglot book from Scid, and moves cannot be deleted (simply
because I was too lazy to do that), but their weight can be set to 0 which
is mapped to epsilon.

This works for me in my first test, at least if I put ProDeo in a
directory where I have write permissions. (Say unzipping the archive in
~/.scid). I was not successful to install it as root in
/opt/chess/DOS/ProDeo16 an
I wonder if Scid can support deleting moves from a polyglot book. Is this
supported by polyglot api? We could put something in the Scid UI which sets
score to 0.01 (or epsilonÉ›). Any move with a score so low will be
ignored by polyglot and when exporting books to pgn, moves with such sco
Now prodeo UCI works in Scid. I debugged a few issues and showed a potential
fix to Pascal which is
now committed to Scid trunk. Thanks to Pascal for doing a quick commit.
The reason prodeo is an interesting engine is that it supports handicap play
(ie simulating a strong club player) etc. In a
