I can no longer change the size of the board. Options/chessboard/size is
grayed out. This is on windows 2000. I tried changing boardSize in
options.dat but the value in the file is reset to the value 50 immediately
after starting scid.

I will provide some proofreading, including for mark-up. Mark-up
hasstles should be kept to admin or at least superuser anyway. Or
else we will encounter consistency problems.

Hi there!
I just got a report that the animation of moves is not smooth on Mac,
the piece jumps in steps, Scid was running on a powerbook core 2 duo @
2GHz, so I don't think processor speed could be blamed.

I get the same behaviour on Mac, focus doesn't follow the mouse.

Actually, the name will come first because I plan to set this up on a
virtual server, but that's a minor point. More below.

Automatically, yes. But I think if there is a section where

Scid really needs is a place to go for all the simple questions (such
as those I pose to the list) and a bunch of how-to and quick guide

I've been following the posts on the mailing list for some time, and I thought
I'dd add my two cents to try and help to improve Scid even further. Mostly,
generic Scid is excellent. Almost everything is possible, it's just not that
easy to see how. Therefor, I think it's a fabulous idea to

SF provide means to host the site outside its own site. There seems
to need only a redirection adjustment.

The overall principle should be that the help file is both official,

user-case related information.

The fact that Scid.app is both an application and a folder is pure
magic to me. So if you want to ask about this installation, you
should drop a note to Isreal Chauca.
I also suggest that you start a thread for the HTML export project,
another one for the brushing up of the icons, etc. I, for on

The focus follows the mouse. No need to click. If the mouse is over the

Usually, a focus issue only. The board window needs to have the focus
for keyboard input to work.
Now, it is easy to set the focus in classical mode and
