Bases are not in CVS.

Hi!
Interesting stuff, but you may have noticed that I am not the
fully-pack-it-with-features type of guy. I am more in favor of improving
what we have before adding new things (that may or may not be related,
even implementation-wise).
Just stumbled upon this:

They've an interesting choice of database formats.

Hi!
Seems strange, but could it be that Scid "looses" some keys? E.g. if I
start up Scid, two windows open up: the main window and the PGN window.
The PGN window has the focus. If I now press CTRL-F12 to open the CC
window together with the default database, the CC window opens up, but
without
I can't see the bases folder in CVS anymore, is that a recent change?

Well, as Pascal pointed out ETCL is for CE only, ActiveState
on the ohter hand has the problem as well, and on Ubuntu
you're so near the bleeding edge that I'd guess you'll
hardly get a newer versi

Sorry that I was maybe not clear enough. I try to clarify below.

Thanks Alexander!
I will try your /local/opt/tmp/stuff suggestion.
As to your closing remark:
Sure enough, but I meant to ask whether there are any other troubles
when using scid that are caused by tcl/tk 8.5 flaws. Or is the file
selection dialog the only one (as far as you guys have noticed; t
Hi Pascal,
Aha! Now you _are_ interested :-)
I am willing to take this on, provided that we agree on some sort of
specification first.
The points you raise are valid, but you should be aware that the number
of corrections to make in one 'go' does not practically influence the
duration of this 'c

Beware about Etcl : it is the Tcl runtime used for Scid Pocket, but don't
use it under Linux or other OS, or you will get libc conflicts at runtime. I
just mentioned Etcl as an example (and because it is a french product :-) ).

This part of Scid needs more corrections than that. For example :
- triggering a players'name correction makes Scid enter in calculation mode
without any user feedback (and this lasts a couple of minutes)
- the limit of corrections should be user defined (a drop down list with
"1000", "1", "100
