No, if you use tcl/tk 8.3 you need to update it.

As I mentioned before I've been using Scid 3.5 without any problems.
Now that I've given 3.6.24 a try I encountered a problem with running an
engine through wine. Why did it stop working? (my native engine
shortcuts work fine)

Scid compiles but refuses to run with Tcl/Tk 8.3.4
