I just installed scid 3.6.23 and imported a big pgn database. There
are a few features I'd like.
1. Some form of multiple selection in the game list window and
commands to copy selected to clipbase, delete selected, and set filter

Hello,
Right now, I have five (!) Scid program boxes : Main, Analysis,
Database Switcher, Game Notation and Game list is a little annoying.
I can live with that : I like the windows of Scid as they are. But
since we are comparing Scid with other databases, something must be
said about the standa

Hi,
I commited some code in CVS where Tree window refresh is 20 times faster
(sometimes more !).
Here is the changelog :
- added an option menu for Tree windows : Fast Mode. This will dramatically

move transpositions. It i

Hi,
Not an easy question. You can use several steps to get where the
differences start. For example run Glaurung natively, then compare to
Glaurung under wine, then compare to glaurung under wine under Scid, etc.
An idea maybe that parameters are not correctly passed from Scid (or CB
?) to the

Hi All,
I have been doing some studying of infinite analysis using engines and how they
differ when running the engine under SCID from running the engine under other
interfaces (I used Shredder8 GUI from Chessbase).
The engine was run via wine in both the SCID case and the Chessbase case. The

Up to some move. IIRC it is configurable while building the
direct tree, the standard is up to move 20 or so.

This resource is certainly the most promising, but this is the one I was
referring to when writing that the site that made them available would not
allow others to ma

I would say that the bigger screen I use, the more I dislike

problems with locating all those windows (well, of course it is
