Hi all,
I have just installed Scid, version 2.6.21. When doing a "make
install" I get an error about book*.bin not existing (which they
don't) so I uncommented the line and the program installed. However,
when I run scid I get a message box saying:
"Bases directory not found"

The need for documentation and FAQ is indeed important. There is already
a tutorial at
http://scid.sourceforge.net/tutorial/index.html
and in Scid's help menu there is an "hint" one, which is close to a FAQ.
Maybe these could serve as a basis, and would avoid to start something
from scratch

A recent question about name maintenance in Scid shows that we would
need a FAQ. I am volunteering to create one, as I find it seems that
there is a need for it. I can maintain both english and french
versions ; aber mein Deutsch ist zu schlecht.
