Thanks so much for this software. I, too, use Hiarcs on my Palm daily (both to
play against and play over annotated games) and I agree that its database
management is somewhat clumsy (I have used HED as well). I have downloaded it

But that will, as far as I understand it, install scid 3.6.1
from the debian repositories, not hte version extended by
Pascal.
