I noticed that second line from UCI engines is often displayed in a very
strange way.

I uploaded a release candidate of Scid 3.6.13 at
http://prolinux.free.fr/scid/download/
with the following changes :
- fixed a bug in "en passant" moves
(7r/pp3k2/2pb4/3pn1P1/P5p1/1P6/2P1NPP1/3R1RK1 w KQkq - 0 1 after f4, gxf
was considered as illegal)
- improved non-UCI engines handling
I have a suggestion:
Provide a menu that would provide easy access to favorite/common saved
searches... perhaps as an extension of the current Search menu...
