It is possible that your problem is that xmms in Red Hat doesn't support playback of
mp3's. do a search for the

I am new to Linux. I was used to using winamp in windows machine but i
can't load any type of file in my playlist in xmms. I dont know why. I read
the faq but it wasnt there. I really like xmms but this problem is just
killing me.. Would be glad to get this fixed.
