Hi,
I am trying to do network programming (i.e. IPC) on my RedHat 8. I got
errors when trying to compile a simple IPC (i.e. shared memory) program.
Does RedHat 8 support IPC programming? How can I get my IPC program
compiled? Thank you.

I did download the source code from his (new) site, and
that is what I have compiling error. I can't find anything
about updated versions of the code (or for Linux).
Please post the compiler output here and we can take a look.

Hi,
I am running RH8. Recently, I downloaded the source code of examples from
the book (UNIX Network Programming, Volume 2, Second Edition, Interprocess
Communications) by W. Richard Stevens. I followed README's procedures to
configure and build the basic library as follows:
$./conf
I've seen a book called "Linux Network Programming". Does anyone know the
author and publisher. I thought it was WROX but it's not listed on their
website.
I have Richard Steven "Unix Network Programming" but I'd liek to learn
something more Linux 2.2.x
