I've got a compaq Pentium Pro powered machine that I want to install RH 8.0 on.
the problem is that linux seems to be detecting the memory incorrectly. the BIOS
check
gives the correct result. but RH's installer says "not enough memory" is supposedly
has 196MB ram. what gives?

It's because of shared memory. Many of the processes areas that you are
reporting have shared components. F
