Edit /etc/grub.conf to your liking.
It's /boot/grub/grub.conf on my system.
One should be a symlink to the other.

What I would like to know is how I remove the old kernel's entry?
Do I have to remove the old kernel from my box?
grub.conf just in case you have issues
with your new kernel.
