I am running BSD at home so I am doing this from memory
Try "rpm -qf gcc" or try
"rpm -qf cc" this will show you the rpm for gcc or cc
Without a C compiler it is very annoying isn't it?

you are bound to need several *devel packages as well, but I'm not sure
which ones off hand.
