on command line in my linux box, for example:
#htpasswd /etc/squid/passwd user

themselves on a web interface, but i have no clue how
to achieve this goal, i know maybe cgi program
There is a setting I'd once come across in SCO-unix where you can set "password
expiry" in terms of no. of days .Perhaps, you have something similar for your
server??
Check out the options/settings for password change.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,

For security reasons, the root account on a stock RH system does not have
many directories in it's path (and thus cannot find the command). Try
/usr/sbin/adduse
I was trying to use "adduser" command but it returns: "adduser: command not
found "
any idea why?
thank you

New users aren't added only to the /etc/passwd file. Use the 'adduser' command
to achieve what you want, and I'm sure you'll get the desired effect.

I recently installed a RedHAt 6.1 box, but when I installed it I had
selected MD5 passwords without shadow passwords. I'd like to change my
system back to hash or whatever RedHat used before MD5 and shadows. I'm
not quite sure what I need to do to do this however. I know I need to
remove the md
