Just to butt in with something that might be worth considering:
I use RocketMail (http://www.rocketmail.com) for my "public face" in the
email world with exactly the setup that Eric describes (filtering to
different mailboxes with spam filtering added) ... works a treat,

I'm not sure how you limit Usenet input? It's propogated to Usenet as a
whole, not through RH's servers.

Just over two weeks ago I quit all vger.rutgers.edu lists because of spam
messages coming in from that site. Toward the end I was getting as many as
three or four at a time. I found it interesting that of all the spam mai
