Thanks to all who responded to my cry for help. The issue was two things:     1.  Even though it's included with the package, the software was never installed (in RHL8.0) even though 'Everything' was installed.     2.  The basic SWAT file placed in /etc/xinetd.d won't work if you use a IP address

I am currently running RHL on 2-boxes, 1 running 7.3 and the other running 8.0.  When trying to use SWAT to configure Samba on either machine, I get a Access Denied message even though I'm trying to login as root.  I've already changed the 'disable = yes' to 'disable = no'. What am I doing wrong?
