Hmm they look heavily tweaked. Since PHP is a major core of the applications
running here I would rather stick with the Red Hat RPMs as they are known to
be compatible.

You will probably need to make sure you have a lot of *-devel packages
installed to get PHP to compile with a lot of features. You look like you're
missing the mysql-devel and gd-d

Installed the SRPM and all the required -devel libraries. Adjusted the php-
4.1.2-7.2.4.spec file to add in "--with-interbase \"
The rpm -bb php-4.1.2-7.2.4.spec command fails with
checking for mysql_close in -lm
