Are you sure that you have the correct compressed Image file (e.g. not
vmlinux)?. What are the messages in all cases? However if you still have
problems read the very good online manual of Loadlin. You can find it
in all ftp sites where Loadlin is availiable for download. ( e.g.
sunsite.unc.edu
I did that and it tells me that it is not a valid image file. What I did to
get the image file was boot to the newly installed linux partition via
rescue (NT partition is first) and copy vmlinuz to a floppy. I then
put the floppy in a working linux machine, mounted it and ftp'd it
to my dos disk
