NTP is the best, run as a daemon. Look for the ntp RPM. You can also run

syslog for that...

ntpdate -s ntp.ucsd.edu ns.scruz.net ntp1.cs.wisc.edu
at least it does not show any output how do I tell if its working as
compared to the -u option where I got:
