I also have to recommend "Effective AWK Programming" from www.ssc.com.

It's mostly gawk, but describes the differences.
It filled in a lot of gaps the "Bible" left.

To view on line, you'll find it as info pages. To print the manual, just
run texi2dvi on the .texinfoi file. Easy peasy.
