Cygwin/XFree86 is the way to go. It's free and not only gives y
which, by the way, is at http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc

check out VNC, it runs on windows, linux, mac, and in jave on your
browser.

You configure the VNC server on the Linux box, and run the vnc client on
the NT machine.
It's exactly what you're looking for, and easy to configure.
