We use SQUID here - http://squid.nlanr.net/Squid
Compiles w/out modification under Rh5.0 and took about an hour to get
running. Documentation on above web site is EXCELLENT!

If you are talking about a Web caching proxy, Apache supports this
feature. If you are talking about a security proxy, check www.tis.com
for the firewall toolkit.
