Well, I can say for sure the 169.x.x.x address is from an unaddressed interface.. when you fired up the box at one point, it could not get an address... or you ahve a second NIC that is set DHCP and it could not get an address.. the 169.254 entry is for DHCP Unassigned addresses. Perfectly
