Are you running at 32bit color? 1024x768 would be the highest you could go
@ 32bit and 4mb's of ram on the card. I have the same card, and if I want
to run at a higher resolution, I have to go down to 24bit color (but then
netscape is black and white for some reason!).

Are you using Xconfigurator's Autoprobing? That never selects
higher than 1024x768, although you can manually select higher...
