Sounds like your problem. Make sure there are valid entries in
/etc/resolv.conf and/or make sure your named is running if you use that.

I need to setup postfix with virtual domains and be able to specify quota
for virtual users. I downloaded postfix 2.0.14 rpm for RH9. What should I
change in postfix config to use quota for virtual users?
The users will check their mail via vm-pop3d and openwebmail.
Thanks.

Hello everyone.
I am currently working on mail server, running Postfix 2.0.12, which was
installed via RPM from the following link:

So here are my questions: (Bare with me...im fairly new to all of this)

is it possible to get smtp authenticating with a password in LDAP using
sasl? I assume you would need to use PAM.
I have a rh8 system whereby users can login with a password either in ldap

Worth a look and it's quite stable.
The only knock on Eudora (IMO) was that you could not whitelist around
some of the spam check (specifically header and body filters).
This is now fixed because you can "redirect" to a second instance. Works

Does anyone know if it is possible to configure multiple aliases to map to
one real mailbox on Postfix ?
What I get is this, if I add an alias twice
postalias: warning: /etc/postfix/aliases.db: duplicate entry:
and I assume it would select the last entry.

Hi. I am running Postfix on RH9. I am trying to use
/etc/postfix/access to reject email addresses adn domains that send me
spam. I followed the documentation on how to do this, and I run
postmap /etc/postfix/access
to rebuild the database every time I add a new entry. I have also tried
Upgraded to 2.0.13 tonight, from 1.1.11.
All mail delivery is seemingly working, but I now see the following error in the logs:
postfix/qmgr[]: warning: connect to transport filter: Connection refused
What does this mean?
(It probably means I didn't read something.)

The reason is the authentication features with mysql.
The hard thing is move the mailbox to the new maildirs without losing

Easiest way is to set up the new mail server the way it should be
