When i use Gnorpm or kpackage to install somethin new ...
It shows tons of dependencies so i have to find out which they are and
install them one by one ...
this happens even when im doin that from the installation CD the packages it
requires are on the cd itself...

Hello RH enthuisiasts,
When I do gui install of rh 6.1, it hangs during package installation, I have selected
KDE as default desktop, I am using updated boot image, from rh errata html page along
with the appropriate update disk.
I am currently set up as follows:
x86 Family5, model 2
I'm experiencing the same problem with glint as reported in previous posts.
The suggested fix was to download the update rpm for glint and install it. I'm
using version 5.0 but could only find the update for glint in version 5.1
updates. Is there an update for 5.0 or can I use the update found in

Go to redhats errata site and there is a fix for this problem with glint.
