Yes, it can. Follow the instructions in the "Linux+NT-Loader" FAQ at

I had the same problem with LILO when I installed Linux on my machine. The only way I

Really? I did that for the longest time when I was dual booting

There is a utility called bootpart that allows you to put Linux as one of
the options in the NT boot loader.

Two ways for you: Either see my previous reply to Michael Hatzakis
about win95 eating his boot sector, or check out the page to put Linux
into the NTLDR. This doesn't require any third-party programs, either...

I use this bootpart program with NT's bootloader to start LILO off of other
partitions. Works great and it can do other OSes too!

I just got finished reloading linux and installing LILO on the first
sector of the partition now I just need to convince the NT boot loader to
let me use Linux. (I know this has been discussed so flame me if you must

Same here, Rebellion is really slick if you have 10 hours a day to play
games, and enjoy a level that can last 50-100 hours and like
micromanagement. Unfortunately this doesn't describe me so I switched to

PowerBoot will make it easier, and at $25 is less expensive than
System Commander.

We are ordering a new system that comes with NT. I would like to install
Linux on the system when it arrives. I know that I will need to repartition
the drive (one big 8.4 GB drive) and I thought that something li
I find the best option for nt and linux is a small dos partition ( say 10
meg ).
Install msdos x.x and then isatll nt. It will use its own boot loader (lilo
). Then boot linux from the dos partition using loadlin.
So you have 2 menus dos/nt and then linux/dos.
It also allows you to use dos

It sounds like a case of the "dualing boot managers". I successfully boot
between NT and Linux using lilo. My solution was to install NT on a
dedicated HDD (hda). After booting successfully into NT I shut down the
system, moved hda to hdb (and configured nt hdd for slave operation)
I am dual booting Windows NT and Linux on my system; I use LOADLIN.
Here's the procedure:
1. If Windows NT was installed on top of DOS, you should see an
'MS-DOS' option.
2. Boot up Linux with the disk. Mount your hard drive with NT if it
isn't already. Create a directory ca
