I suspect the df check is not checking the linked /opt directory, it is
checking the drive the link is on. And that drive is probably full.
Try this, temporarily (as root)
rm /opt
mkdir /opt
umount /apps (unmounting /hdb1)
mount /dev/hdb1 /opt
install the code
revers
